Roy Horn Of Siegfried & Roy Dies Of Coronavirus Complication

Legendary magician and longtime Las Vegas performer Roy Horn died Friday, according to his publicist.

Horn, one half of the longtime Las Vegas illusionist duo Siegfried & Roy, previously tested positive for COVID-19. He was 75 years old.

“Today, the world has lost one of the greats of magic, but I have lost my best friend,” Siegfried Fischbacher said in a statement, according to a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Horn was injured by a tiger during a Siegfried & Roy performance at The Mirage hotel in Las Vegas in 2003, an injury that left Horn partially paralyzed and ended the duo's long running show.

Fischbacher thanked nurses, doctors and staff at Mountain View Hospital who cared for Horn as he battled COVID-19, the complications of which ultimately took Horn's life.
