Driver Mistakes Jail Booth For Drive-Thru, Orders Breakfast, And Gets Arrested

March 19, 2018

According to a report in the Riverhead News-Review, on Friday night a woman was arrested after she seemingly mistook the security booth at the Suffolk County jail for a drive-thru window.

Lizabeth Ildefonso, 44, apparently drove up to the security booth at about 10 AM and ordered a "bacon, egg, and cheese" from the Deputy Sheriff Yvonne DeCaro, who was on duty at the time.

Though the deputy identified the location as the jail, Ildefonso “insisted that she really wanted a sandwich,” the statement from the Sheriff’s office said.

She was arrested after "performing poorly" during the field sobriety test.
