Pedigree wants to help Americans meet their new furry best friend remotely.

The famous dog food brand is setting up dog adoptions through Zoom meetings with its new website meetyourdog.com, reported People.

The concept behind the website is to allow future pet owners to meet their potential furry friends virtually. If they're a perfect march, they can adopt the pet without having to leave their home during the coronavirus pandemic.

If you are adopting a dog, the brand will cover the Zoom membership and equipment costs. Pedigree will also take care of the pet's adoption fees.

"This new campaign was built to support shelters and dogs in need of forever homes, by tapping into the cultural trend of Zoom, a platform we've all brought into our lives as virtual connection continues as the new normal," Craig Neely, Vice President of Marketing at Mars Petcare, said.

During the week of May 11-13, Pedigree teamed up with the Nashville Humane Association.

Virtual adoption events will happen throughout the months of May and June. Here is the full schedule that can be found below:

• SPCA Florida in Lakeland, Fla. on May 14, 15 and 18
• The Little Guild in Cornwall, Conn. on May 19-21
• Louisiana SPCA in New Orleans, La. on May 22, 25 and 26
• Fairfield Area Humane Society in Lancaster, Ohio on May 27-29
• Dallas Pets Alive in Dallas, Texas on June 1-3
• Additional shelters to be added for June

While the company is not offering this tool for every shelter, it did create a virtual adoption digital tool kit for rescues and shelters to use. It will consist of information that tells you how to virtually adopt during this crisis.
