October 7, 1996 was the night we were first graced with an episode of “Hey Arnold!”. It also marked the start of Nickelodeon showing cartoons in prime time (8PM-11PM).

Need us to refresh your memory? Does “Move it, Football Head!” ring a bell?

The first episode of Hey Arnold!—composed of the segments “Downtown As Fruits” and “Eugene’s Bike”—was the opening salvo in a campaign promoted on-air as “More Nick.” – A.V. Club

Hey Arnold! aired 100 episodes over 5 seasons, which spanned 8 years. There is also a movie in the works due out in 2017 that will serve as a final chapter in the Hey Arnold! series. We’re supposed to finally get answers about what happened to Arnold’s parents

Oh, & the show that came on after Arnold’s premiere, “The Secret World of Alex Mack” turns 22 tomorrow.
