The band premiered the track today (September 30). The lively jam blends the band’s previous relaxed indie rock feel with a greater pop sensibility. The intro riff has a touch of Talking Heads about it with its structured yet playful pace, and the roaming bass line paired with a more exploratory guitar riff.

Lead singer Caleb Followill details traveling all around the world only to lose himself and find a girl. Hey, it happens.

“Around the World” marks the second single the band released off Walls, which will be released on October 14.
