In a seemingly unlikely pairing, Steve Aoki has remixed Blink-182’s hit “Bored to Death” in a way only the dance maven could do. Today, that remix has received a video treatment. The accompanying video finds footage of Aoki’s party antics including caking and crowd rafting cut together with Blink’s original “Bored to Death” video.

Aoki has been testing the song during DJ sets around the world to rave reviews. “It’s definitely the peak moment for me in my sets when I want the energy level at 11,” Aoki tells Rolling Stone.

This isn’t the first time Aoki has worked with the pop-punkers. The self-proclaimed Blink-182 fan boy did some collaborative work with Travis Barker back in 2010.

“Once I heard they were back together working on this album I had to get in [John] Feldmann’s studio with them and chop it up,” Aoki explains to RS. “The first thing I could get my hands on was the stems to ‘Bored to Death,’ so I went to work immediately on this remix”

Aoki’s “Bored to Death” remix will be available for download Wednesday, Sept. 1 via his official website.
