There’s a lot in a name, apparently.
The dating app Happn thinks so, anyway.
The company did some research into what first names their “most attractive” users have in three major international cities, based on how other users rate them. The results, while obviously not too rooted in actual science and perception, are still interesting.
In the United States, the most “attractive” male names are Michael, Ben, Jason, Matt and Simon. For females, the honors go to Nicole, Jessica, Amanda, Katie, and Alexandra.
You may notice that those are also some of the most popular names. That’s not a coincidence.
In Europe, on the other hand, some of the popular names include Louis, Marc, David, Julien, Vincent, Jordi, Albert, Adrien for men and Laura, Charlotte, Cristina, Marta, Marie, Camille, Sarah, and Anna for women.
