The music of White Fence is one of the Bay Area’s chief exports. The band led by Tim Presley (who is based in both Los Angeles and San Francisco) released a new album To The Recently Found Innocent earlier this summer, and has been making the round ever since.

He stopped by Amoeba in Hollywood to pick out some of his favorite music, and listed a handful of albums that have helped shape him as an artist.

However, Presley has been spending so much time with his own music that he hasn’t had much time to listen to other tracks, so most of his picks are vintage and remasters. “I don’t even think I’ve listened to music for a whole year,” he tells the interviewer. “Now music sounds really good to me, because I’ve deprived my brain of it.”
